Elia was a devoted mother and cherished family member. Her strong faith and Catholic values guided her through life's joys and challenges and created a strong faith foundation for her children. She found solace in baking and making sweets, often sharing her creations with loved ones. She loved James Bond , cowboys and War movies. She loved music of all styles like Julio Iglesias, el Puma and her favorite actor Sean Connery. She loved outside dinning, specially seafood with friends and family.
A woman of dedication and sacrifice, Elia enjoyed traveling and exploring new places when she could to appreciate God’s creation. Her zest for life was contagious, and she lived each day with purpose and enthusiasm. She frequented her favorite pastime at the casinos in which she made many friends that appreciated her kindness and long talks.
Elia is survived by her Sister, Gladiz, her four beloved children: Elizabeth, Washington , Edward , and Sheila, her nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and who will deeply miss her love, guidance, and presence in their lives.
In her passing, Elia was reunited with her parents and siblings, Armando Pérez, José Pérez, and Teresita Pérez, who had preceded her in death.
May Elia's memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her, and may her legacy of love, faith, and family continue to inspire those who remain. Rest in peace, dear mother!
A memorial service for Elia will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763.
