

After graduating from high school, Ankie proudly served in the U.S. Army, including during the Vietnam War, and retired in 1979. He later continued his dedicated service with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1997.
He was married to his beloved soulmate, Rose Ann Garner Quintanilla, and together they built a life centered on love and family. Ankie had a passion for fishing, gardening, and carpentry, hobbies that brought him great joy throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio Reyes Quintanilla (Orong) and Caridad Perez Taitano Quintanilla (Titang); his brothers, Jesus (Spamdom) T. Quintanilla, Antonio T. Quintanilla, Tito T. Quintanilla, Agustine T. Quintanilla, and Laurion T. Quintanilla; and his sister, Jesusa Quintanilla Duenas (Pinko).
He will be lovingly remembered by his children and their families:
Agnes & Joseph Bucheger (CA) and children; Elena & Evine Smith (CA) and children; Rosalin & Lou Sedillo (CA) and children; Doris Huntington (CA) and children; Frankie & Arlyn Quintanilla (GU) and children; Lilian & Benny Reyes (NV) and children; Dominic & Velma (TX) and children; Gary & Melissa Larsen (VA) and children; and Jennifer Larsen (SC) and children.
He is also survived by his brother, Juan Taitano Quintanilla, along with numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
