Fred C. Kreft

Fred C. Kreft, age 85, of Deltona passed away June 26, 2013 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler in Orange City, Florida.

Mr. Kreft was born on October 3, 1927 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Frederick and Margaret Barker Kreft. He was united in marriage to Eleanor Morgan in 1947. He retired from General Motors after 36 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Consistory and Shrine. He was also past worthy patron of the Order of Eastern Star. He was an avid lawn bowler and lane bowler for over 60 years. He belonged to several bowling associations and was inducted into the Volusia County Bowling Hall of Fame in 2005. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eleanor, daughter, Carol (Donald) Gwin, 2 grandchildren, Brad (Jennifer) Chasteen and Leigh Anne (Jeff) Rivers. five great-grandchildren, twin boys, Matthew and Andy Chasteen and Zoe Chasteen, Cooper and Morgan Rivers and a sister, Patricia Conley of Flint, Michigan. He is predeceased by a sister, Barbara Hards of Flint, Michigan.

Friends will be received at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home,1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City 386-775-4260 on Saturday, June 29th from 10 am – 12 pm, where a Life Celebration Service will follow in the funeral home chapel.
