Garry Lee Allen, 67, of DeBary, Florida, passed away on December 31, 2015. Garry was born on August 14, 1948; the son of James and Josephine Allen. Garry married Linda Fickert on June 11, 1992. Transferring to Florida 10 years ago, Garry worked as a Flight Instructor at Flight Safety International. He was a retired Captain with Allegheny Airlines / U.S. Airways. He was also a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. Garry and Linda were members of the DeBary Golf and Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf, boating, flying, grilling, and loving on their Yorkie, Sadie.
Garry is survived by his wife Linda; stepdaughter Rebecca Barton and her husband Scott; stepson Michael Fickert and his wife Melissa; grandchildren Daniel Dickerson and wife Caitlin; Kristen Joiner and husband Michael; Michael Fickert; Erica Reeves; great granddaughters Isabella Joiner and Delilah Rose Dickerson. Also surviving are family members Jan Fyffe, Mary Reese, and Tim Conley.
A Celebration of Life Event will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, at Hyatt Place, 5435 Forbes Place, Orlando, Florida 32812
