Dr. Fisher was born on February 3, 1934, in Ashland, Ohio, to Franklin and Beatrice (McCarty) Fisher. He graduated from Ashland High School, Otterbein University and Ashland College Divinity School. He attended Seminary at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He was ordained as a Christian minister on August 9, 1959, by the Evangelical United Brethren Church, after which he served 25 years as a senior pastor, youth pastor, choir and athletic directors with the United Methodist Church. In 1987, he became a Mental Health Counselor, then the director and counselor at Family Care Counseling Center in Maitland, Florida and Deltona, Florida. He was an active member of the Deltona Alliance Church.
He is survived by his loving wife Esther Fisher, his stepson Dr. Douglas (Catherine Neal) Havelka of Cincinnati, Ohio, stepdaughters Lori (Allen) Pinkerton of St Clairsville, Ohio and Amy (Paul) Mock of Deltona, Florida, his grandchildren Adam (Ashley) Pinkerton, Amy Pinkerton, Chelsea (Scott) Bass, Emily (Jonathan) Garcia, Alex (David) Spanogians, Adam (Kelly) Womacks, and great-grandchildren, Cailin and Bentley Bass, Hannah Pinkerton, Jack Garcia, Kora Kligensmith, Otto and Esme Spanogians. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Philip Fisher.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 3, at Deltona Alliance Church, 925 Deltona Blvd, Deltona, Florida.
