George Calvin King, age 43, of Deltona, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. His passing leaves a void that can never be filled, yet his life will forever be remembered for the immense love, joy, and passion he shared with all who knew him.
Born in Kissimmee, Florida, George grew up in Lake County before settling in Deltona to be closer to his son and extended family. In his 20s, he earned his commercial driver’s license and began a career as a truck driver. Later, he pursued higher education, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida. Most recently, George followed his entrepreneurial spirit and faith by founding My Faith Life, a business dedicated to prayer bracelets, and by beginning to write a book to share his story of perseverance and faith.
George’s journey was not without challenges. He faced a difficult battle with addiction, but he never allowed those struggles to define him. Through recovery, he discovered a renewed purpose in his faith, which became the cornerstone of his life and the foundation of his ministry to others. His testimony reminds us that even in life’s darkest valleys, faith can light the way forward. George’s life stands as a powerful witness to the possibility of redemption, and his story continues to inspire all who seek strength and healing.
Grounded in his deep devotion to Jesus Christ, George was known for his spontaneous prayers, his willingness to lift others’ burdens heavenward, and his role as a faithful prayer partner to family and friends. He had a rare gift for connecting with people—through laughter, storytelling, empathy, and generosity—and built bonds of love and respect wherever he went. His infectious smile and booming laughter will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
George is preceded in death by his father, James Francis King. He is survived by his mother, Carol Marie Evans; his son, Calvin Nathanial King; his daughters, Makaya Marie Kelly and Karah Lynn King; extended children, Lillee Gabrielle Watkins, Cole Austin Reusch, Tyler Dean Boatwright, Eliza Kaelin Schultz, and John Robert Schultz; extended grandchild, Jaxton Elias Anderson; his brother, Joseph Francis King; nieces, Brooklyn Paige King; nephews, Julian Zayne King and Christian Blane King; his fiancée, Angela Wylie; and many more beloved family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on November 22, 2025, at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL 32763. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Stairs Residence, 880 Stair Way, Lake Helen, FL 32744.
An online guestbook is available for those who wish to share memories and condolences.
“Forever in our hearts, George’s faith, laughter, and love will light our way.”
