Glenn Quincey Rose was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 26, 1956, the third son of the late William and Frances Rose. Glenn grew up in Detroit and graduated from Cass Technical High School in 1974. He also attended John C. Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama.
Glenn dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on October 4, 1980. Glenn married Tina Marie Steele on November 21, 1981 and their union was blessed with three children, Nicole Marie, William Clifford, and Alexander Freeman. Glenn worked as a Chemical Processor for Difco Laboratories in Detroit, Michigan from December 1976 to September 1990 at which time he and Tina relocated to Central Florida. In Florida, Glenn began a new career as a Commercial Appliance Technician first with Nass Service from 1990 to 1996 and then with Hobart Service through August 2018.
Glenn always worked hard both at his job and at home and was affectionately dubbed “The Hardest Working Man in Florida”. With his years of experience as a service technician, he loved to help others and took special pride in assisting fellow technicians solve problems. He also diligently served his congregation for many years.
Glenn should be remembered for his incredible work ethic, delightful sense of humor, sponsoring “Boys Day in the Park” for his children, being a good neighbor and a good friend. In 2014, Glenn moved to Port Orange, Florida where he fulfilled a life-long dream to live near the ocean. Throughout his life, Glenn continued to support his family.
We eagerly look forward to the day when Jesus’ promise of the resurrection will be fulfilled and “… all those in the Memorial Tombs will hear his voice and come out, ...”. See John 5:28 & 29.
Until then... Glenn will be missed by all who loved him!
