Heidi E Girke

Heidemarie E. Girke, 81, of Deltona, Florida passed away June 30, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Heidi was born in Neustrelitz, Germany to Liddy and Fritz Weber. She was a cherished and loved Mom, Omi and Aunt. Heidi was also a dedicated Volusia County Crossing Guard and Trainer for 27 years, a job she truly loved. She was an avid gardener and personalized her garden with decorations she created. She truly has the best yard on the block. We know we will be reunited with her in Heaven.

Heidi was preceded in death by her loving husband, Manfred E. Girke and sister Gisela I. Hunt;,Brother in-law James V Hunt. Heidi is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Witkowski and son-in-law, Dariusz Witkowski; son, Michael Girke and daughter-in law, Sandy Goldmintz; son Andreas Girke and daughter-in-law Cheryl Hardy; grandsons Benjamin (Kim) Witkowski and Christopher (Brianna) Girke; great grandson, Christopher Girke Jr.; niece, Barbara E. Hunt. Great-nephew, BJ Hanrahan; Great-niece, Liddy Hanrahan; Cousin, Karin Mönnich; several other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, US, on August 22, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
