Helen Valvano

Helen was united in marriage to Dominic Valvano on May 18, 1976, sharing a beautiful life together until his passing. She enjoyed a successful career in accounting in New Jersey before retiring to Florida in 1985, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and perseverance. Helen and Dominic served on the Public Service Electric and Gas of North Retirement Club of North Florida, which Helen was the treasurer for 25 years. Member of the Garden Club Marigold Circle of DeLand for the past 25 years which she immensely enjoyed with her love of gardening. Her passion for life was reflected in everything she did, and those who knew her will remember her warmth and kindness.

Helen is survived by her beloved children, Anne (Robert) Gancitano of South Daytona and Victor Schmanko of Orange City, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Brianna Gancitano, who brought her immense joy.

Helen’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
