

Mr. Karle was born on October 2, 1948 in Wyandotte, Michigan, the son of Louis and Dorothy Karle. He fought in combat during the Vietnam War while serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1967-1973, where he became a Platoon Sergeant and received several awards and medals including the Bronze Star with a V for Valor, two Purple Hearts, and the Legion of Merit. Following his military career, Mr. Karle worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Air Products and Chemicals for 26 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, reading, tinkering with gadgets, playing cards, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Sue Karle; his son, Jay Karle; his daughter, Jenell (Karle) Fratacci; a grandson, Jack Wyatt Gehlhausen Karle; two brothers Louis Karle and David Karle; a sister, Janet (Karle) Valentine, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services with military honors will be held on Thursday, April 30th at 1pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL, PH: 386-775-4260 with Chaplain Mike Carroll officiating.
