Dear Mom,

I think of you so very often.  How you'd laugh when Andrea and I were entertaining you with our silliness.  How you took so much time and care in making our beautiful clothing.  How you liked to dress Andrea and I alike (except in different colors).  How you attempted to teach all your children to be very good adults in every way possible, unfortunately, we may not have always listened, but you gave it your all and we learned so much.  Being the independent person I am was sometimes challenging, but thank you for letting me spread my wings to soar.

When I look back at fond memories, you and Dad are always there.  Your thoughtfulness to detail and preparation was always appreciated by everyone.  Whether camping, hiking, dancing, bowling, fishing, swimming, crafts, sewing, canoeing, sports, extracurricular, curricular, etc... to big National Events we were involved in  ...you two were there to support us always.  Your love for us spoke volumes.  I am grateful!

Most of all, thank you for my introduction to our faith and God at such an early age.  You opened the door, I stepped through and continue on  one of the greatest journeys I've ever taken.  Together Larry and I continue our walk of faith - I am blessed.

I hope everyone was there to greet you, rejoice in your life, and love you through the process and greeting with God.  Rest assured that I will continue to watch over dad, but no one could do that as wonderful as you Mom.

Dear Grandma,

Words cannot express how much I truly miss you. I think about you everyday and I think about how some of my first and fondest memories as a child were of you. 

You taught me how to cross-stitch, how to sew and how to love others. I will never forget the times we shared when I would spend the weekends with you and grandpa. You made me a little bag of your jewelry and I played dress up in your house, you made my First Holy Communion dress and I felt like a princess, and you made me into the woman I am today... and for that I am forever grateful. 

Grandma, I love you very much and I promise to make you proud. I hope someday I can be half the grandmother you were to me and I pray that we all continue to make you smile.

PS. I took a refresher sewing course and bought a new pair of Gingher scissors. They were expensive, but well worth it-- because they remind me of you. :)

I am so grateful to have had my grandma for 34 years. She taught me many lessons, some of them hard learned. I know she is with our Father in Heaven and will be at peace with him. I offer my condolences to the entire Brauner family, especially my grandpa, mom and aunts and uncles. Grandma will be missed by all who knew her.
