

He was born on April 23, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is predeceased by his father, Edwin Littlejohn, and mother, Maxine Tyler Littlejohn. He leaves behind an older sister, Barbara Miller, and younger brother, Ralph Durning. He was a devoted family man who is survived by his 6 children and 10 grandchildren.
He initially served our great nation with a tour in Korea, where he started his military career in the U.S. Air Force. He felt that his service for our country was not over with and he enlisted into the U.S. Navy that included a tour in Vietnam. With 20 years of military service, he retired from the U.S. Navy with the rank of Chief Petty Officer (ABHC) on 12/01/72. He received 4 good conduct medals, national service medals, U.N. service medals, along with other awards and commendations.
He was an active life long member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and American Legion. He volunteered his time at the VFW, where he served on the Honor Guard and also achieved the position of Post Commander at the DeBary Chapter.
He enjoyed his time with his family. This carried into his hobbies, which included playing golf, fishing, shooting, hunting, watching old western movies and cooking.
He has been a great father, brother, son, mentor, hero and friend to all of those who were touched by him in their lives. He is loved and missed by all.
