Jane walked through life guided by a compassionate and loving heart. She was the epitome of an English rose—graceful, elegant, dignified, and beautiful. Thoughtful in every way, she never forgot a birthday or special occasion, carefully noting them in her well-organized calendar, and always wished the very best for those around her.
Jane was a loyal and devoted wife, sister and mother who found great joy in caring for and nurturing her loved ones. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and during her years in The Bahamas she faithfully served as an elder of St. Andrew’s Kirk.
Among her many favorite things were fish and chips, Wimbledon, her beloved dogs, time spent in nature, trips to the cinema, red lipstick and manicures, traveling, Christmas, observing wildlife, puzzles, and sweet treats.
Jane is survived by her devoted husband of more than 50 years, Tom; her daughter, Christina; her brother-in-law, Jim Roberts; her sisters-in-law, Venus Eacott and Cindy Newell (Ed); her beloved goddaughter, Harmony Thompson (Craig); her loving nieces, Clare, Sarah and Ashley; special nephew Neil; extended family members; and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Millie; and her twin brother, Roger, with whom she shared a special bond.
Jane’s bright light touched the lives of so many. We will carry that light forward, remembering her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit, and striving to emulate the compassion and care she so effortlessly shared with the world.
