

Jerry was born on September 25, 1941, in New Castle, Indiana. He was a proud graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. He went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army. On May 8, 1964, he married Barbara J. Heneager, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage and a lifetime of memories.
Jerry built a career as an antique dealer, a profession that reflected his deep appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and the stories behind treasured items. He had a true passion for auctions and estate sales and found great joy in the thrill of discovery. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed boating on the river and fishing, embracing the peace and beauty of the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonas and Nora Brummett; his wife, Barbara J. Brummett; his sisters, Lora Dean (William) Schpolucke and Margaret Schaad; and his brothers, Kenneth (Vivian), Coy, Paul (Phyllis), Roy (Ann), Harold, James, and Harry Brummett.
Jerry is survived by his sister, Mary Stage (Herbert) of New Castle, Indiana; his sister-in-law, Carolyn Brummett of Fruitland Park, Florida; his brother-in-law, Joseph Schaad of Avon, Indiana; and his brother-in-law, Phil Heneager (Cathy) of Cookeville, Tennessee. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Logan Johnson and Christian Johnson, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will continue to honor his legacy.
Visitation will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, US, on April 14, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, followed by a Committal Service at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Q44J+Q9, Mims, FL 32754, US, on April 14, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
