We were just calling around Christmas time to find the phone disconnected and are so very sad to find out of Big John's death so long ago.  Your family gave us so many fun memories when our kids were small.  We went on the church picnics with you guys for years as a tradition.  We went to his daughter's wedding, too.  We spoke of the stories he told us about the family throughout the years.  We would see old cars and say Big John would love that!  We were in parades with him.  Hanging out in the hugh yard in Rockaway with Screamie and Meemie...and the trips to Stu Leonards for the hay rides were traditions, too.  So many...we loved him very much and loved when he shared old photos with us.  When he lost his wife we were there to cheer him up as best we could.  We loved his silly side so much which was hard to find for awhile.  We were so happy that he got a good deal on the Roakaway property at the time but sad when he moved so far away.  I hope if you are reading this you don't feel bad about the lack of communication.  That's hard for all families.  Just know that we feel his presence still even though he gone from this world.  He will be missed by many more than us for sure.
