John Robert Wilkerson, 92, of Deltona died on February 14, 2015 in Florida Hospital Fish Memorial of Orange City. He was born on October 23, 1922 in Clay Bank, Virginia, the son of Elijah & Lucy (Bristow) Wilkerson. John served in the US Army during WWII in German & Italy. He was a maintenance engineer for DuPont prioir to his retirement.
John is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lucile (Hargadine) Wilkerson, step-daughter, Betty Mae Oliphant, step-sons, Dennis & David Eisele, brothers, Elijah & Thomas Wilkerson, and half-brother, Donald Hickman. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Marguerite Teagle Wilkerson, step-son, Calvin Bristow, brothers, Henry & William Wilkerson, sisters, Naomi Hogge, Martha Oliphant, and Edna Allison.
Visitation will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, with funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm.
