Mr. Torres was born on March 28, 1933 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, the son of Domingo Torres and Marta M. Lopez. He served in the Marines as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. He was a district manager for Power & Light Company in Puerto Rico. He moved here from Caguas, Puerto Rico in 1992. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Deltona. He was a volunteer and worked at Daytona Library for the blind. He loved sports, particularly baseball and was a loving man of God.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 1/2 years, Norma; three sons, Rafael Alberto Torres, Rafael Ramon Torres and Rafel Arnaldo Torres; a daughter, Maricelis Torres; six grandchildren, Lucas Alberto Torres, Julian Alexi Torres, Christopher Ryan Torres, Matthew Kelly Torres, Amanda Torres and Mikaela Sanchez; six brothers, Jorge, Domingo, Narciso, Ramon, Alberto and Carlos Torres and a sister, Julia Torres; many nieces and nephews.
