On Wednesday September 30th 2020, Karen Lynn Carroll, a loving mother of five children, grandmother of thirteen grandchildren, and great-grandmother of seventeen great-grandchildren, passed away at the age of 77.

Karen was born on February 25, 1943 in Staten Island, New York to Wilbur and Madeline Otto. She grew up as an only child in a modest area of Staten Island. She graduated high school in 1961. In May of 1962 she married Dominick Carbonaro. They had four children - Kim, Dom, Glen, and Keri, and in 1970 Karen and Dominick, along with Karen’s mother and father, moved their family from New York to Central Florida. Karen and Dominick eventually divorced, and in May of 1975 Karen married her second husband Robert T. Carroll. Karen and Robert had one child together, Robert Carroll (Bobby). Karen enjoyed the sport of bowling, she also loved hosting house parties which included karaoke. Although she never sang, she enjoyed listening to everyone else. Playing cards, bunco, or bingo with friends and family were also some of her favorite past times. She was a hard working housewife, working at various restaurants as a waitress or at the bowling alley snack bar. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grand children alike. She was proud of her entire family and their accomplishments.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Madeline Otto, her husband Robert T. Carroll, and granddaughter Shawna Carbonaro. She is survived by her five children; Kim, Dom, Glen, Keri, and Robert; twelve grandchildren; Todd, Joshua, Chad, Shawn, Justine, Andrew, Nicholas, Tiffany, Daren, Austin, Brandon, and Brittany; seventeen great-grandchildren, and several cousins.
