Kurt was born in Binghamton, New York, on September 21, 1948. He graduated from Binghamton Central High School and went on to build a career in sales and trucking, working for Davis Express Corp. and Caterpillar during his professional life.
On July 2, 1970, Kurt married the love of his life, Linda Popso Schroeder, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned many years. He was also a proud member of the Disabled American Veterans, reflecting his commitment to service and community.
Kurt was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Emma Lou Schroeder.
He is survived by his brother Eric Schroeder (Barbara) and his sister Heidi Carcano (John). He is also survived by his nieces Aubrey and Tiffany, and nephews Anthony, Conrad, Daniel, and Stephen, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews. Kurt is further survived by his sister-in-law Alice Popso.
Kurt will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hard working spirit, and the many relationships he built throughout his life.
