M. Malaky “Mali” Englehardt (nee Veale), 70, of Enterprise, Florida, passed away on Friday, September 18th. A lifelong resident of the state, she was born in Daytona Beach, graduating from Father Lopez High School before attending the University of Florida and later Rollins College. She lived for many years in College Park, where her home was a gathering place for friends and family in the Orlando area. In 1999, she moved to Enterprise, which she often said reminded her of the Florida of her youth. Mali had a long career in commercial property management, working for a variety of local companies before starting her own agency, from which she had only recently retired. She had a tremendous passion for her family and friends, infectious laughter, her pets, travel, and her garden. She is survived by her only child, Joshua D. Englehardt, his wife Giovanna Muñoz Hernández, her grandson, Joaquín Englehardt-Muñoz, who was her pride and joy, and her siblings James J. Veale, Jr., of Charlotte, North Carolina, John D. Veale of Seminole, and Linda Gaudette of Hartford, Connecticut, as well as an extended family and lifelong friends too numerous to mention who will miss her terribly and will remember her warmth, generosity, and empathy for the rest of our days. Per her request, no formal ceremony will be held, although a celebration of her life is planned in the future; details will be made available by contacting her family.
