It was my high privilege to serve with Marvin at Trinity UMC Deland, Fl.  He was one of the best men I ever knew.  I remember the time when He and Florence decided that I needed a lighter color clergy robe than my usual black.  They insisted that I order one from Cokesbury at Annual Conference as a gift from them..  We compromised on grey instead of white.  They were beloved by all who knew them and I will always carry fond memories of them in my heart and thoughts.

Thank you Marvin for being Marvin and moving those parts of the kingdom you served closer to God's Reign. I know that you are now in His care and keeping.
