

Nelson Tirado, 71, of Deltona, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025. He was born on April 20, 1954, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Nelson lived a full and vibrant life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone he met.
Nelson proudly served in the United States Army, receiving an Honorable Discharge. Following his military service, he built a long and dedicated career as a truck driver with Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc., where he worked for many years. His strong work ethic and reliability were admired by all who worked alongside him.
A man of many passions, Nelson was a devoted New York Mets fan and enjoyed baseball with unmatched enthusiasm. He loved bowling, playing dominoes, bingo, and poker, and he could always be found enjoying good company and friendly competition. Nelson also had a deep love for music and social dancing. He played the güiro in a band, bringing rhythm, joy, and culture to every gathering.
Nelson is survived by his beloved significant other of 15 years, Nelly Vazquez; his son, Nelson Tirado Jr.; and his stepchildren, Daisy Cordero, Luis Otero, and Aramis Otero. He also leaves behind his cherished step-grandchildren: Elijah, Destiny, Argana, Daniel, Diamond, Angelina, Lyomare, Simara, and Aramis Jr. Nelson is further survived by his siblings: William Feliciano, Rafael Tirado, Carmen Maria Tirado, Iris Delia Acevedo, and Georgina Tirado. His presence will be deeply missed by his extended family and all who were blessed to know him.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763.
The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
A committal service is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Deltona Memorial Gardens.
Nelson’s legacy of love, laughter, and music will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
