
Richard “Rick” Raleigh, 77, of Flagler Beach, Florida, passed away on June 16, 2026.
Rick was born on November 22, 1948, in Oak Park, Illinois. He graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School and went on to earn dual degrees in Music and Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University in 1971.
Rick began his career as a music teacher with the South Florida school system, where he taught for approximately two years. He later pursued a successful career as a mechanical engineer in the concrete industry, a profession that allowed him to travel extensively throughout the world. He especially enjoyed working in Europe, with Germany holding a special place among his favorite destinations.
Rick was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, where he faithfully served as a chaplain for several years.
Rick had a passion for entertaining family and friends, traveling, and restoring and collecting mechanical clocks. He was known for his warm spirit, generous heart, and love of bringing people together.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Rae Raleigh, who passed away in 1983; his wife of 22 years, Lynn Raleigh, who passed away in 2011; his beloved companion, Sharon Brown, who passed away in 2022; his brother, Kenneth; and his sister, Wendy Lee.
Rick was dearly loved by his family and friends, including Loretta and Preston, who treasured his love for life and the joy he brought to those around him. Above all, Rick loved the Lord and was a blessing to all who knew him.
