

Mr. Sullivan was born on June 7, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Arthur and Marie Sullivan. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was united in marriage for 30 years to his late wife, Betty, who preceded him in death in 2003. He was a utility mechanic for the County of Seminole for ten years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Deltona, the V.F.W., the American Legion, Elks and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed working around the house and collecting cars.
He is survived by his companion of seven years, Arleen Maguire; a son, Richard Sullivan, Jr. of Indiana; a daughter, Jeanne Marie (Lenard) DiFrancesco of Ohio; three grandsons, Nicholas, Joseph and Timothy DiFrancesco; a brother, Larry (Cathy) Sullivan of Ohio; two sisters, Noreen Sulzer and Loretta Demaline both of Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, August 11th from 4 - 8 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL, PH: 386-775-4260. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 12th at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 1310 Maximillian Street, Deltona with Father Frank Cerio officiating. Burial will immediately follow the mass at Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City.
