Robert was a very intelligent, proud and faithful man. He honorably served in the Marine Corps during WWII. During his long life he developed many hobbies, interests and talents. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing the guitar, was a history buff, photographer and had an incredible green thumb for gardening both flowers and vegetables. More than anything else, he enjoyed time spent with his family and he loved them dearly.
He is preceded in death by his son, Bruce Blanks; parents; his brothers, Alan, Teddy, Rodney and Leonard Jr. Blanks.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sheila Pollar-Blanks; his children, Raven Lindsey (James), Linda Blanks and Craig E. Blanks; sisters, Cherrie and Marie; four grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family members, including those from New Orleans, Louisiana, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 11:00am at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home.
