

Roderick Philip Gibson, 29, of Deltona passed away on May 5, 2016 at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida. Roderick was born November 18, 1986 in the Bronx, New York to Rodney and Rosemarie Gibson. He was an only child who was adored by his parents from the time he was born.
Roderick attended college at the Culinary Institute of America where he received his Bachelor's degree. He spent many years traveling the world as a chef. He was an intelligent young man who had a passion for life and put his heart into everything he did. Roderick was a kind soul who was the perfect combination of loveable, generous, thoughtful, funny and caring. He made those around him happy with his infectious smile and the love that radiated from him.
Roderick is predeceased by his father Rodney. He is survived by his mother Rosemarie and by aunts and uncles Josette Gibson, Clyde Gibson, Rita Gibson, Eduardo Florano, Daniel Florano, Manuel Florana, Sarah Florano, Cicilia Florano, Bernie Florano and Alona Florana. He is also survived by cousins Eman Flroano, Sarah Marie Florano, Aleah Florano and Shan Florano. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
A visitation service will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. A funeral mass at Our Lady of the Lakes in Deltona will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 10:00am with a committal service to follow at Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City.
