Ruby L. Smith, 83, of Orange City, FL, departed this life November 18, 2016 after a long hard battle with the Mycobacterium avium complex d1sease. She was born September 10, 1933 to Leonard and Louise Sharon in Birds, Illinois.
She is survived by her sons Walter Terry (Patti), Gerald (Rae Ann) and Timothy (Laurie), all of Illinois; her daughter Cheryle (Steven) of Orange City, FL; her brothers William Sharon (June) of Texas and Larry Sharon (Nancy) of Oregon; her sister Patricia Yates of Oregon; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter, her sister Rosalie and her longtime companion Harold Fordham.
She loved to travel but mostly looked forward to spending time with her family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, FL 32763. A Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home.
