She moved to Florida in 1981, enjoying fishing, gardening and keeping everything in its place.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 22 years Percy Gene Barnes; her life partner of 37 years Richard Craig Marteeny; her son Russell Barnes; her brother Columbus Maynor of Signal Mt, Tennessee; and her sisters Hazel Reynolds of Daisy Mt, Tennessee, Catherine Morrison of Soddy, Tennessee and Bobbe Arp of Hixson, Tennessee.
She is survived by her sons Douglas Barnes of DeBary and Carl Barnes and his wife Sheila of Jacksonville, Florida; her daughter Susan Gotchal and her husband Mel of DeBary; six grandchildren: Holly, Heather, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Jillian and Jennifer; fifteen great grandchildren; and her brothers Raymond Maynor of Chickamauga, Georgia and Don Maynor of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, Florida. Inurnment will follow in Deltona Memorial Gardens, Orange City, Florida
