She spent more than 20 years working at the World Bank before retiring in January 1995 to care for her first grandson. Family was important to Shirley, and she treasured the opportunity to be there for the people she loved.
Shirley had a love for reading, a passion for politics, and, above all, a deep and growing faith in the Lord. She participated in Bible studies and faithfully served her church until her passing. Her faith showed in the way she lived every day. She was loving, kind, and selfless, always putting the needs of others before her own. A woman of great strength and character, Shirley had a true servant’s heart and a way of making others feel cared for.
Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil P. Robinson II; her son, John Robinson; her parents, Luther and Mary Hall; and her sister, Barbara Fulford and brother-in-law, Joe Fulford.
She leaves behind her sons, Cecil P. Robinson III and Darrell Robinson (Lynda); her daughter, Catherine Sanata; and her grandchildren, Justin Sanata, Hunter Robinson, Kaitlin Urch (Austin), Sara Hunt (Jeffrey), and Jenna Robinson. She was also a proud great-grandmother to River and Summit St Pierre.
Shirley will be remembered for her faith, her generous spirit, and the way she consistently put others first. Her love and the example she set will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched.
