Such a special friend, the sister I never had.... Terry and I  met in Amesbury High School, Amesbury, Mass. in 1968.  Inseparable,  we became very close.  Just one week older  than I,  Terry always watched over me, making  sure I was ok. We spent all our spare time together, going to high school dances, shopping, a trip to Montreal, and just hanging out.
 Sadly,  not long after graduation,  our lives took different paths, as they often do.  We both moved away, joined the work force, and started our own families.   Throughout the many years to follow,  I always thought about Terry and wondered where she was, if she was ok.  reaching out to old acquaintances to find where she had gone, but no one knew.  Then one day in April, 2005, a miracle,  while in a boutique in St Pete Beach with my daughter,  my phone rang.  It was Terry.  Thrilled to have found one another again, we talked so excitedly, laughed, and cried.   We had so much news to catch up on.   We were very fortunate over the next 15 years to spend time together whenever possible,  even though  5 months out of every year we lived more than 1,200 miles apart.    It's been heartbreaking these past few years to see Terry's health decline to one of life's horrible diseases.  And, so devastating to take her life at such a young age of 67.     My heart is broken.   I will always remember my best  friend and "Sis".    
Terry, thank you for being you,  for the memories,  and for being such a great friend.   I will love you always.
Until we meet again dear Terry, rest in peace. ❤
