

Valeria (Val) was born January 20, 1933 in Opole, MN to Vincent Walter and Martha Margaret (Pietron) Grebinoski. She married Harold Nicholas Popp on September 20, 1954 in Opole. They lived in Duluth, MN prior to moving to Rice, MN in 1955. She was a homemaker raising 7 children. In Minnesota, she was a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church where she belonged to the Christian Mothers. Currently, she is a member of the Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church of Daytona Beach, FL. Later in life, after moving to Florida, she worked as a home health and nurses aide. She enjoyed baking, cooking, dancing, traveling, card playing, shopping at her favorite store - Penneys, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved being involved at their apartment complex with the “Pantry”, decorating for the holidays, and other events with her friends, especially her best friend, Barbara Hill. She enjoyed watching Hallmark Christmas movies, Christmas specials, awards shows, news, baseball games, and football games. Her and her husband enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk on Saturday evenings. Val was a wonderful, caring mother and wife who deeply loved her family.
Survivors include: her husband of 70 years, Harold of Daytona Beach, daughters and sons; Greg (Vicki) of Tennessee, Gretchen (Dave) of Florida/Minnesota, Gloria (Ken) of Florida, Gerald (Anne) of Florida, Geoff (Jolen) of Georgia/Texas, and Gwen (John) of Arkansas. Sisters and brothers; Leona, Genevieve, Patty, Dennis, Duane, all of Minnesota. She has 12 grandchildren, 9 great grand children, and 3 great, great, grandchildren. Valeria was preceded in death by her son Gale, her parents Vincent and Martha, sister Bernadine, and brothers Alphonse, Ervin, and infant brothers James and Francis.
Memorial services will be held December 12, 2024, 11 am at the Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church (317 Mullally Street, Daytona Beach, FL 32114)
