

on Friday, March 1st comforted by family members at the Halifax
Hospice Care Center in Orange City, Fl.
Velma was born on March 6, 1921 in Beaver Falls, Pa., a
graduate of Geneva College, and Beaver Falls High School. She
was a long time resident of Ellport and an elementary school
teacher for over 22 years with the Ellwood City School District.
She was proceeded in death by the love of her life, George “
Wilbur” Burrows whom she celebrated 72 years of marriage, her
sister Jean Walrond and her parents George F and Flora L
Heineman.
She is deeply missed by her children Bonnie ( Jim ) Chambers,
Gay Varner, Brad ( Karen ) Burrows and Joy ( Brad ) Adams and
her sister Flora “ Dolly “ Rapp in Arizona and brother in law, Paul
J Burrows of Florida, eleven Grandchildren and twelve Great
Grandchildren.
Mrs. Burrows loved her family, was very active with the church,
and among her favorite activities was playing games with all the
children.
A private service was held by the family, with her final resting
place with her husband at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, in
Rochester, PA.
