

Viola Huff Sessoms, “VI”, was born on December 20, 1927, in Stapleton, GA, to Deacon Johnnie and Daisy Huff, she attended school in Stapleton, GA. She was a member of the House of Prayer for all People in Dearing, GA. There, at a young age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.
As an adult she lived in Brooklyn, NY, and in Philadelphia, PA. In Philadelphia she worked at Stetson Hat Factory and Maplewood Manor Nursing Facility. Later she moved to Wilmington, DE. In 2000 she returned to Georgia to take care of her ailing family members. In her senior years she moved to DeBary, FL to live with her daughter Barbara.
She was united in holy matrimony to Russell Sessoms. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Sessoms; her parents Deacon Johnnie and Daisy Huff; brothers, Roger, Lyndon, Boyd, Johnnie, and Isom Huff; and sisters, Annie Samuels, and Lillie Gadson.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters; Barbara J. Dummett (DeBary, FL) and Evangelist Carol S. Hopkins (Laurel, DE). One sister; Dorothy Williams. Grandchildren; Eleazer Beresford Dummett, II and his wife, Heather (Boston, MA); Violet Inez Barnett and her husband, Lance (Jacksonville, FL); Erica Renee Ramos and her husband Renaldo (Flowery Branch, GA); Tamani Wooley (Clifton Park, NY). Great-Grandchildren; Julian and Brittany Ramos, Brandon and Cameron Barnett, and Carter and Jayden Dummett, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
