William Richard Elmore, 95, Deltona, Florida, died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial , Orange City. He was born May 10, 1916 in Scott Township, Adams County, Ohio to Charles and Edith Sapp Elmore. He was a retired civil servant for the US Air force working in aircraft maintainence. Mr. Elmore was of the Methodist faith and member of the Masonic Lodge .A U.S. Army veteran of WW II, he earned the Good Conduct Medal; American Campaign Medal; European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 bronze Star and the WW II Victory Medal. He is survived by 1 daughter- Marcia L. Gore of Southbury, Ct.; 1 son- William R. Elmore of Dallas, Texas; 2 grandsons- Brian LaMont and Chris LaMont; 2great-grandsons- Logan LaMont and Leo LaMont; 2 Great-grand daughters-Nicole LaMont and Evelyn LaMont . Inurnment will be at a later date with Military Honors at Deltona Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Orange City, Florida .Arrangements under the direction of Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, Orange City, FL.
