

William L. Walsh, 82, of Deltona, FL and formerly of Warwick, RI, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Born in Providence, RI, Bill was the eldest son of the late John D. Walsh, Sr. and Rosalie R. (McNamara) Walsh.
Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ann L. (Valenti) Walsh; his son, William L. Walsh, Jr. of Rehoboth, MA, his wife Kelly and their daughters, Lydia and Molly; his son, Michael C. Walsh, his wife Mallory and their sons, Christopher and Daniel, and a great-granddaughter, Evelyn. He is also survived by his sister, Catherine R. (Walsh) Merolla, and was predeceased by his brother, John D. Walsh, Jr.
Bill served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 30 years. Prior to his service, he was co-owner of B&B Imported Car Service in Warwick.
Bill was a "mustang", meaning an officer who once was enlisted before being commissioned. He rose to the rank of CWO4.
A visitation for Bill will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. A a celebration of life service will occur Monday, October 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at VFW Post # 8093, 351 Charles Richard Beall Blvd, DeBary, FL. A military honors by the VFW will occur Monday, October 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763.
