Wolfgang was born on August 29, 1949, in Vornbach, Germany, to Herbert Krompass and Mary Resch. He later made his home in Deltona, Florida, where he built a life filled with family, friendship, hard work, and countless memories.
Wolfgang attended Cuyahoga Falls High School and proudly served his country as an Army veteran of the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. Throughout his working life, he was involved in management and the trucking industry, where he became known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
Those who knew Wolfgang will remember him for his quick wit, unforgettable jokes, contagious laughter, and unwavering loyalty. He had a way of bringing humor and personality into any room and leaving people with a story to remember.
Above all, Wolfgang was a devoted and cherished father to Jessica Krompass, Christine Krompass, Tabatha Irwin, and George Krompass. He was also a proud grandfather to Zayden Wolfgang Alli, Jacob Irwin, and Trinity Irwin. He leaves behind his sister Helga Gallo and his brothers Fred & Ed Krompass. Also friends, and close acquaintances who will forever feel the loss of his presence.
Wolfgang found joy in the simple things he loved most. He was a chef, fisherman, and proud veteran, and he enjoyed sharing his passions and experiences with those around him. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge and VFW, organizations that reflected his appreciation for friendship, fellowship, and his fellow veterans.
While our hearts are broken by his passing, we will continue to celebrate the life he lived and the memories he gave us. His laughter, his stories, his humor, his loyalty, and the love he shared with his family will remain with us always.
Wolfgang’s legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
