Arnie was a port in a storm for me when I was just a young buck who had just moved to Jax and he hired me as a part time sales and marketing aid to his business.  He taught me much, a genuine class act with empathy and boundless intelligence.  I was an avid sailor and miss the fond memories and comradery  we shared at the River House.  I still think of him when I use his expression; "don't get your knickers in a twist".  
"Here's to the tall ships, here's to the small ships"
"Here's to all the ships at sea"
"But the best ships are friendships"
So here's to you and me"
Here's to you my friend; may God hold you in the palm of his hand until we meet again.

Prayer of Thanksgiving
Eternal God, you have shared with us the life of Arnie.  Before he was ours, he was yours.  For all that Arnie has given us to make us what we are, for that of him which lives and grows in each of us, and for his life that in your love will never end, we give you thanks.  As now we offer Arnie back into your arms, comfort us in our loneliness, strengthen us in our weakness, and give us courage to face the future unafraid.  Draw those of us who remain in this life closer to one another, make us faithful to serve one another, and help us to know that peace and joy which is eternal life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

"Fair Winds and Following Seas"  Shipmate ... the watch stands relived by those of us who have been fortunate enough to have you  as a dear friend on land and on the sea. Farewell Arnie as your next port of call will be with your forever love and shipmate Janet. Hopefully we'll all meet again one day over the horizon. 

So sorry for your loss David - your Dad was such a friendly person; always had a smile on his face.  He will be missed.

We are so sorry to learn of Arnie's passing. We came to know Arnie and Janet through our dear friends Bernard and Jenny Williams and we all shared some lovely dinners and gatherings together. Arnie was such a warm and friendly man and I especially enjoyed talking sailing adventures with him.  Our thoughts are with all of you and we wish you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Mr. Reynard is survived by his daughter Jackie Heap (Alan), his son David Reynard (Shirley), step daughters; Patricia Lynn Wilson (Hambone), and Melinda Canaday. Grandchildren; Grace Searles, Gary Wilson, Eric Wilson and Great-grandchild Bryce Wilson. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Janet Canaday.
