Barbara Sue Oxford

Barbara Young Oxford (70), peacefully joined her heavenly home on November 4, 2025, while surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren. Barbara was a beloved Mother, Wife, Sister, Grammy, & Friend.

Born on August 14th, 1955, in Lake City, Florida. She was the child of Elza Butler (E.B.) Young and Ludell Flanders Young Crews.

Family and friends will remember Barbara for her love for the beach, enjoying sipping on Coke-a-Cola’s, listening to music (especially Conway Twitty), dancing with anyone who would join in with her, and shopping. She spent many of her days filled with laughter and happiness while sharing it with others.

Barbara’s greatest joy in life was her family. Her grandchildren were the center of her world. They did no wrong in her eyes. She poured her love into them in countless ways that will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her children, Melissa Seehafer (Joel), Anthony Oxford Jr., and Cindy Holmes (Jeff). She was a devoted Grammy to Taylor Holmes, Logan Seehafer, Hunter Holmes, Tyler Oxford, and Caleb Seehafer. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Young, her sister-in-law, Amanda Young, many nieces & nephews, & great nieces & nephews, who she all loved dearly.

She was preceded by her husband and soul mate, Wayne Oxford, her momma, her sisters, Mary & Peggy, and her brother, Robert.

Barbara is a follower of Christ. The family finds comfort knowing she is eternally reunited with many friends and family, especially Wayne.

The family also encourages anyone who has fond memories of/with Barbara to please share them.
