Bruce Lee Doss

Bruce Lee Doss Sr, 74, of Jacksonville Florida passed away on Saturday January 21, 2023. Bruce was born May 21, 1948 to Pauline Tucker and Adrian Ray Doss. Bruce served in the Navy from 1966 to 1990. His service included Vietnam, Panama, San Diego, Charleston, GITMO, Mayport, Millington, Dallas, and several ships. He also served the Military Sealift Command as a Senior Communications Officer from 2004 to 2018. Bruce was a very friendly, hardworking, and devoted man who loved his family more than anything. He was a loving husband, committed father, and a caring grandfather. He enjoyed politics, being in the yard with his dog, Gizzy, and neighbors, traveling, telling stories about the time he served in the military, and being with the people he loved. He had a Witty personality and never complained about anything. He was the type of man who would take the shirt off his own back for someone in need. His memory will forever live in the hearts and homes of our family for generations to come. He was survived by his wife of 53 years, Fortuna Doss, children; Ana Carrion, Janette Doss, and Bruce Lee Doss Jr., Grandchildren; Brandon Doss, Alexia Alvarez, Tristan Flores, Liana Carríon, Mikayla Doss, Adriel Carríon, Landen Sinclair, Ethan Sinclair, Ezra Carríon, Jaden Terradas, and Victoria Farris. Great-grandchildren; Isabella Alvarez and Malcolm Flores, sisters; Darlene Pollard and Debbie Doss, brothers; Ray Doss and Dwayne Doss. A visitation for Bruce will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073 with services beginning at 10:30 AM. A graveside service at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 at 1:00 PM (Lane 2) will conclude the day’s services.
