Carol Cummings Swain, 98, died June 22, 2011 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida. She moved to Jacksonville from Indianapolis, Indiana in 1994 after retiring as a law librarian with the firm Hall, Render, Killian, Heath and Lyman. She was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, and an elder and deacon at Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. She was a 50 year member of PEO, a philanthropic educational organization for women.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Swain and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Swain, Westfield, Indiana; daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Senko, Orange Park, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Riverside Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville at 4 pm, July 9, 2011. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Carol’s name to the charity of choice.
