dad u and ur values and mom taught me to respect all of gods childs as early as i can remember we had dinner guest at the house in st.mattews ,these were workers that had no were to go for a meal but you made it possible ,and mom cooked .daddy u could any where in louisville u wanted to and get respect because u always reached out to people and working man that had nothing ,and mom was always ready with food to feed these great working men ...that was a thought that u and mom kept for many years. in the early 70s the house was always open to any one that needed the scott guideness including many of the high school football and swimming and chearleading teams and of course any one that we brought home .  there was always a open door at the scotts house ..he who have none will have plenty when the scotts get a hold of you ..then in 1972 u brought into our house a new brother that gave all the time and wisdom he could lol..i pissed him off alot of times but leon always had time for me .....i thank u mom and dad for giving a brother that i could ask questions too ,it was great i had u dad and barry and leon ,all my questions could be answered ..i miss you dad and my brother barry but i still have leon and bruce and floyd to guide me thur my life journeys ,i am so glad that there are still family that i can turn too ..your youngest out of 6 charles michael ..we have so much to be thankfore mom and pop instilled a great mind  and great body to all of us ,i will be lighting candles for all the scotts ......

daddy i have the golf clubs that u and dadaww taught me on and some other cms things that judy ..god bless her soul gave to me ,i hate that cms ends with me ....i will carry that name on as long as i live every day i think of us with dadaww fishing in marco island and catching all that redfish and grouper and mom and mamaww making those cuban ham and swiss sands on pita bread ,that will be in my mind forever...daddy i am over 2years now clean and sober i know u and mom are looking down on me and dancing love u god bless your son charles michael s.

Daddy...wore your ring for a couple of days straight last week..hadn't put it on for awhile..the girls thought I should have it...I'm glad they did...it sits in front of me on my dresser and I touch it and Mom's ring every day...it's too big, have to wrap it and put it on my middle finger..the irony is not lost on me ;) Started itching like crazy after that second day..made me think of Mom and how we both have had that crud on and off for years...haven't had it in a long long time..her way of letting me know she knows I'm wearing it? I think of her every time I see a Dragonfly...I do sound nuts when I see one...I talk to them..doesn't matter where I am...I miss you guys so very much...so very much Bri turns 33 tomorrow...where has the time gone...My God...you never met Cayden...he's so handsome and sweet and Big..he's going to be something else. Love and miss you so very much. Brionne brought Salmon and cream cheese and melba toast for Easter to Jill and Floyds'...I cried. She didn't even realize how much you loved that. When I told her she was amazed and wasn't quite sure why she brought it. <3

Usually today, the Friday before Easter, we sat down to map out and put on paper our "clues" for the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt!
As the Grandchildren got older just hiding the eggs with money in them was not enough. They had to work for it. So began the scavenger hunt for clues....
You always got your 1st egg from them....That egg gave you the clue to find the next one and so on and so on..
12 in all for each "hunter".
Oh, the last egg, should you find it, would hold so many special surprises....Yes, Money was a part of the  surprise, but really the "special part" was the pure joy we all witnessed from Mom and Dad, their Meemaw and Pappaw!
They were so excited, even during the hunt they would help "have you looked over by the hot tub?", they would whisper.
At the end of the hunt, automatically, as if second nature, the grandchildren would all sit down "to share" their findings.
What a wonderful testament to our parents!
Isn't that what we all long for? Something so simple yet character building. 
Thank you for your life lessons.
Thank you for teaching us all.
Those memories will never fade and the lessons taught are with every one of us.

Happy St. Patrick's Day Dad and Mom!
I don't know if a St. Patty's Day will ever pass that it doesn't remind me of you, Dad and your sideburns!
You always made sure you had perfectly trimmed them the night before and tested the color so it was just the perfect color GREEN to apply the next morning.
Dad, how much fun it was to see you grinning ear to ear, sideburn to sideburn at 4 am in the morning before you went off to work to celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the office. I know you were the hit of the office!
I think of you both always.

It has been 12 years ago today that Mom passed away. 
Both of my parents wonderful words of wisdom are with me daily.
Their words, our talks have taken me through times of happiness and sorrow. Never to be forgotten and always there for me to draw from.
I love them both so much!
I know they are both so happy together now. I miss them so much.
They always knew what to say and exactly when to say it. 
They always told me how proud they were of me and I continue to feel it.
They taught me so much and I thank God everyday for them.
