Charlie Will Span, Jr., age 69, of Orange Park, Florida transitioned to be with the Lord on Monday, July 11, 2022. Charlie was born in Albany, Georgia. He was a 1st Class Petty Officer and retired after 21 years of service, as an electrician.
He loved spending time with his grandkids, traveling and taking care of his family. He was a volunteer at church as a Lead Usher and dedicated servant at Pentecostals of Orange Park.
He is preceded in death by his son, Larry E. Hamilton, father, Charlie W. Span, Sr., brothers Johnny Span and Eddie Span.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jo Browley Span; 3 sons: Terrance L. Hamilton, Tyrone A. Span (Juli), and Mario D. Span; mother: Ola M. Span; sister: Ola M. Browley; 3 brothers: Terry Span (Carrie), Keith Span, Rev. Leon Span, and adopted brother-cousin Michael Weston (Tab). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and his best friend Ferdinand Meyers (Bernice), the entire Meyers family, and a host of extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 23, 2022 at The Pentecostals of Orange Park, 530 Madeira Drive, Orange Park, FL with visitation held 1 hour prior to service at church.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM, Monday July 25, 2022 in LANE 1 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with military honors.
