Chelya Louise Acree

Chelya Louise Acree, age 75, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. She was born in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Earl David Godsey and Donnie Price Godsey. She was a Humanitarian and did so selflessly. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Chelya was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, James Alan Hershberger. She is survived by her devoted son, Jonathan Acree and his wife, Catrina; brother, David Godsey and his wife, Vicki; sister, Cheryl Love and her husband, Lonnie; 5 grandchildren: Joshua C. Acree, Jacob C. Acree, Jackson C. Acree, Jameson C. Acree and Janalyce C. Acree; and a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services for both James and Chelya will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, December 4th, 2024 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL. Military honors will be provided for James.
