Adam had a passion for cooking and made a long-standing career out of it with Ruby Tuesday. He started off traveling with them while organizing and performing restaurant openings. This would help him grow his bragging rights to working at over 50 different locations within his 23-year career. He was an extremely dedicated and hard-working employee. After getting promoted to Assistant Manager in 2013, he had recently accomplished another goal by being promoted to Assistant General Manager.
The true loves of Adam’s life entered the picture in August of 2010 when he met Monica and son Cooper. They married in 2011 and welcomed two more children, Alice in 2012 and Charlie in 2014. He was the epitome of a family man, being sure to pass along his passions with multiple day trips to the pier for fishing and showing his kids how to cook. He would become known for his friends and family cookouts. He became an avid griller/smoker, and shared his fondness for good food, good drinks, and good times with the people he loved. His regrets were few but include not becoming a Nascar driver, and not finishing his last batch of Moonshine: Fruity Pebble flavored.
Although a less than average timeline, Adam did not live a less than average life. He did the things he wanted to do, learned what he wanted to learn, fixed what he wanted to fix, and loved who he wanted to love.
Adam was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Melvin Stengel, and his mother’s death followed on August 13th, 2021. Left behind to continue his fine legacy are Monica McAuley (Stengel), children Cooper McAuley, Alice Stengel, and Charlotte (Charlie) Stengel. Brother, Jason Stengel , sister-in-law Leslie Stengel, nephew Garrett Stengel, and niece Lacy Stengel. Stepfather Robert (Lynn) Tiefel. Half-brother Kenneth Melvin Stengel Jr. Aunt Nan and Uncle Terry Silcox, Aunt Joyce and Uncle Herbert Stengel, and numerous other family members.
