

Christopher Ly Tan, 19, passed away on December 11, 2015. He was born July 8, 1996 in San Diego, California and resided in Orange Park, Florida where he graduated from Oakleaf High School in 2014. Christopher was employed by UPS, Jacksonville FL. His home church was Calvary Assembly of God and he was also an active part of The Young Adults group and on the worship team singing tenor at FAssembly. He played the trumpet and loved band and was part of Ridgeview RVHS and the Oakleaf Golden Regiment. He was very active and loved Parkour and video games. Christopher was planning to continue his education or join the Air Force as well as a desire to attend Embry Aeronautical University to learn how to fly. His favorite thing to do with his father, Tom Tan, was to go to St. Augustine and climb the wall, tuck and roll and play around at the Fort. This was where they could be free to play like kids without breaking anything. Chris loved playing pool and learning new strategies with his step father Ronald Catman, Jr. Chris shared his passion for music with his mother, Becky Catman, and his sister, Brittany Tan. His favorite song is Oceans by Hillsong and loved when Brittany sang it. He was very giving with a gentle spirit. He was loved by many. Mr. Tan is survived by his father; Tom Tan, mother; Becky Catman, step father; Ronald Catman, Jr. and sister; Brittany Tan, and step brother Trey Catman and step sister Amy Catman and his cat, Snickers. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME 127 Blanding Blvd Orange Park, FL and the funeral service is 10 AM Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Calvary Assembly of God, 9 Knight Boxx Rd.
