Constantine J. "GUS" Duliakas, age 87, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 peacefully at home with his family by his side. Gus served 20 years in the United States Navy and retired as an AECS in 1975. He continued his career as an Aerospace Engineering Tech and Aircraft Electrician for the Department of Defense civil service, retiring after 20 years in 1999.
Gus loved golf and although his dreams of going professional never came to fruition, he did play a lot of competitive golf while in the Navy. Building custom golf clubs was a favorite hobby of his. He was a Jack of all trades and loved to piddle in the garage, his children referred to him as their own personal MacGyver.
Gus was born in Titusville, PA to the late James and Katherine Duliakas. He married his high school sweetheart Jo, who predeceased him in 2014. He is survived by his children: Brenda (Raymond) Fleck, Tamra D. Patsolic, Jamie Beavor, Kristina (Nick) Steffan, Gus (Bridget) Duliakas and Scott Duliakas. Grandchildren: A J, Brooke, Shannon, Jessica, Casey, Katrina, Maxx, Samantha, Ryann, Ashleigh and Nicholas. Great Grandchildren: Jay, Jocelyn, Tanner, Camden, Tenley, Carson, Kannon, Jamie and Krew. Sister, Sue Kirages and a brother, Nick Duliakas.
A private interment will be held at a later date in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
