Dennis Correll Johnson

Dennis Correll Johnson, born on May 30, 1942, in Spartanburg, SC, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026. He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Claudia Johnson, and his beloved children: daughters Hope Gartman (Charlie), Theresa Widmann (Jeff), and Sally Francis (JT), along with sons John Lee (Carmen), Paul Napoli, and William Napoli. He is also mourned by his brother, Jimmy Johnson (Carole), and sisters Phyllis Downer and Etta Hidalgo. Dennis cherished his many beautiful nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the true light of his life.

Dennis proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, demonstrating his commitment to duty and country. His military service was a source of pride for him and his family.

Known for his gregarious personality, Dennis had a remarkable ability to light up any room with his laughter and warmth. He had a knack for making friends wherever he went and cherished the connections he made throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Andrew Johnson, and mother, Bernie Mae Johnson, as well as his sister, Derenda Foster, brother-in-law, John Foster, and his daughter, Tia Napoli, who served honorably in the U.S. Army.

Throughout his life, Dennis embraced a love for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as golf, horseback riding, team pinning, fishing, and riding motorcycles.

Dennis will be remembered for his infectious laughter, adventurous spirit, and the profound love he shared with his family.

Funeral Services will be held 11:30 AM, Monday June 1st, 2026 at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL. Burial will follow with military honors at 1:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL in Lane 3.
