Donald Lamar Pittman “Papa”, 78, passed away March 4, 2019. He was born February 18, 1941 in Swainsboro, Georgia and resided in Jacksonville, Florida. Donald had a long and fruitful career in HVAC, then began working for the City of Jacksonville where he retired. He was well loved by his co-workers and customers. He had an impressive collection of model trains as it was one of his favorite hobbies, alongside going to Disney World with his wife and family and riding his favorite ride, the Tower of Terror. Donald loved his children and many grandchildren. Mr. Pittman is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Joyce Pittman, daughter Lisa Wood and son Richard Pittman (Dawn), grandchildren Karin Barge (Jacob), Sara Hundley (Brandyn), Seth Wood, Jeremy Pittman, Dylan Pittman, Chloe Pittman, Logan Pittman, and Eli Pittman, and brother William Pittman. He is pre-deceased by his parents Reginald Lamar Pittman and Frances Mae Merry Pittman, and sister Carol Mitchell. “I’m gonna love you, Forever and Ever, Amen.” Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd Orange Park, Florida 32073.
