

Donna Lee Balch Duncan, 63, passed away on August 8, 2014. She was born in Ludlow, MA on August 13, 1950 and was the only child to Donald and Priscilla Balch. Originally from Southwick, MA, she resided in Middleburg, FL since 2004.
Mrs. Duncan retired from Civil Service position at TRIDENT Refit Facility, Kings Bay, GA in 2005 and she served as a volunteer at the Clay St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Donna was predeceased by her father, Donald Henry Balch and granddaughter, Kira Lynn Duncan.
Survivors include her mother, Priscilla Balch Middleburg, FL; husband of 46 years, John L Duncan, Jr. Middleburg, FL; son, John (Fiona) Duncan III of Middleburg, FL; daughter, Kirsten (Rodney) Phillips of Cocoa, FL; two very special grandchildren: Heather Duncan and Ian Duncan of Middleburg, FL; her two puppies: Desi and Dinah; and her travel and bowling buddies: “Splits and Giggles”, Pat, Judy and Julie.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL FROM 6-8 PM. A private Graveside Memorial will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of the Mayo Clinic Oncology Unit, Mayo Hospital 3rd Floor, and Community Hospice for the loving care they provided Donna and our family.
Donations can be made in her honor to the National Cancer Society or St Jude’s Hospital.
