I remember Eric very well from Newark AFB. Always enjoyed his company. Kind of laid back, easy going, always listened to what you had to say. Did not know he went to Jax NAS. Very sorry to hear this. Condolances to his family.

I got to know Eric at Newark AFB prior to 1996. He was always deliberate-but-kool to me. His passing, at such a young age, has caught me very off-guard because he was so athletic, and physically conscience. Humble condolences to all of Eric's friends and family. From Billy Thomas aks DJ Billy "T"

My sincere condolences and prayers to the Eric Haner family. I was Eric's Lead Industrial Engineer Tech when he first worked at Newark Air Force Base. We also enjoyed a few rounds of golf together. I will remember his as the most energetic guy I have ever met. He will be remember by many fron Newark.

I was introduced to Eric on his first day at Newark Air Force Base as he was assigned to our section in Industrial Engineering. He had just graduated from Purdue and was back in Ohio. Blond hair, bobbing his head in acknowledgement of whatever was said and a constant smile. I don't know if I ever saw him mad or even upset. If he was, you would never know it. With notepad on one hand, Eric stepped out to make everyone's day a better. My sincere condolences to the family.

Eric and I were good friends in grade school through high school. I was hoping to once again see him. You were a honest and great friend. My sympathies go out to the entire Haner family

My sincere condolences and prayers to Ron and the Haner family. Eric and I were good friends in our college days at Purdue. We had so many good times together and I never saw him without a smile on his face. He was also the most generous person I've ever met. I probably owe Eric a million dollars from the countless times he paid my way because I never had any money. Eric was so proud of his Cleveland roots, loved the Browns, and liked his rock and roll played very loud. Safe home Eric, safe home.

I first met Eric as the younger brother of my good friend Ron Haner at Purdue University. I introduced them both to my younger brother Rich and the four of us had a great time. We all studied hard, loved rock and roll music, and graduated! Through these times Eric was a fun loving, intelligent, and good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with Eric and his family. Rest in peace Eric, you are remembered fondly by your friends at Purdue.

I knew Eric well during our Purdue days together. He was kind, good-natured, and generous. Most of all, Eric was a loyal and trusted friend to the many who were lucky enough to get to know him. My deepest sympathies to his family. I'm so very sorry that I can't make it to the service to pay my respects.
